Imogene Was Here was built on a simple idea: women deserve to dress for themselves, take up space, and feel damn good doing it.

Who Was Here First

Her name was Imogene. In 1925, she worked in the building that is now our store. She grew up in Palisade, our small town, and went on to university four hours from home at a time when few women did.

We named the shop in her honor.

Her boldness is the standard we hold ourselves to, and every woman who shops with us is following in her footsteps.

What We Believe

Fashion should be fun. It should make you feel something. And it definitely shouldn’t come with an age limit.

Wear whatever the hell you want, from the meeting to the date to the wine tasting to the Tuesday errands. Show up bold in all of it. We’ll be the loudest voices cheering you on.

We believe in women supporting women and in shopping small, and we make room for everyone. Every purchase keeps the women behind this boutique, and the community we’re proud to call home, going.
